Trains from Brussels go from Gare du Midi (Zuid Station) and Gare Centrale (Centraal Station) two trains an hour. There is a bus link from the Rosyth/Zeebrugge ferry.
Arriving in Bruges there are taxis at the station about £5 to any central hotel.

Bruges is small everything you want to see can be walked in half an hour from the centre
The main sites are all in the centre but walk out to the circle of canals surrounding the centre this is very untouristy
