Cadiz

General Information:

Best part is the old town, as you approach Cadiz the first part is the modern hotel and beach area on either side of the Avenida de Valencia but as you go towards to station you are heading into the old part.

The main areas to eat are around the Plaza San Juan de Dios which is near the station, in the Barrio de la Vina (the old fishing port area) and the Plaza de Mina but you cannot really go wrong in the old part..

Hotels

Recommended are:

Most of the hotels are in the new part in the old part there are only really Hostales and three hotels

The Parador modern and on the beach €€€

Hotel Hospederia Las Cortes de Cadiz C/San Francisco new hotel beautiful

Hotel Francia y Paris very central rooms are fine but staff are not the most friendly €€
